Browse Bridge Privacy Policy

This document id is frozen. If the wording changes, Browse Bridge will publish a new id and keep this version here.

Who we are

Browse Bridge is a product at browsebridge.com. It includes the public website, a Chrome extension, a signed-in dashboard, and an MCP connector that lets you connect an AI client you choose. Browse Bridge is operated by Bryan Hamilton.

Scope

This Privacy Policy covers Browse Bridge services only. Websites you open or Enable in a shared tab have their own policies. Browse Bridge does not speak for those sites.

Account data

When you create an account we receive identity and email from Clerk, and plan and quota information from Clerk Billing. We store versioned attestation records of signup and Enable decisions, including the decision, timestamps, document ids, and hashed network addresses rather than raw IP addresses, as described in the Terms of Service.

Shared-tab data

After you Enable a tab, Browse Bridge may process page structure so an agent can observe and act, on-demand screenshots of the visible tab, and an action History log that does not store typed secrets. On Free, History is kept for 24 hours and screenshot files for 24 hours. On Pro, History is kept for 90 days and screenshot files for 7 days. Team and Business plan windows are reserved and are not sold yet. After a window ends, those records are deleted.

What agents do not receive

Browse Bridge does not extract cookies, passwords, or Authorization headers for agents. It does not expose raw DevTools Protocol access and does not execute agent-requested JavaScript. Human control always overrides agent control. These limits match the Terms of Service and FAQ.

MCP API keys

You create Browse Bridge API keys (the bbk_ prefix) in Connections. Only a hash, prefix, and metadata are stored after creation. You can rename, rotate, or revoke a key. The Chrome extension and plugin do not embed your keys.

Cookies and local storage

Browse Bridge and Clerk use cookies or similar storage so you can stay signed in. The Chrome extension uses extension storage for install identity and session UI (for example which tab is shared), not as a store of website cookies for agents.

Processors

Clerk provides authentication and billing. Convex is the application backend (including commands, sessions, hashed keys, attestations, and screenshot file storage). We do not use a separate analytics product in this codebase.

Purposes

We use this information to provide Browse Bridge, keep it secure, prevent abuse, defend attestation records, and bill plans you choose.

Retention and account deletion

Plan History and screenshot windows are stated above. Legal attestations are kept for legal defense and security and are not deleted by History retention. Self-serve account deletion is not implemented in the product today. To request deletion or a copy of account data, please submit a request using our Support form.

Sharing

Browse Bridge does not sell personal data. We share data with the processors named above, when required by law, or when handling an abuse or security report.

Security

We use industry-typical controls for a hosted app (authentication, hashed secrets, hashed network addresses for attestations).

Children

Browse Bridge is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe we have, contact us through the Support form and we will delete it.

Your rights

You may request access, deletion, or export of account data by using the Support form.

International transfers

Account and application data is processed in the United States. Clerk (authentication and billing) hosts data in the United States and does not offer another region. Convex (application backend, including commands, sessions, hashed API keys, attestations, and screenshot files) hosts this deployment in US East (N. Virginia). If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, that means a transfer to the United States.
