MCP setup

The remote server is https://mcp.browsebridge.com/mcp. Sign in with Clerk, or send a Browse Bridge API key. Both use the same quota, sessions, and approvals.

OAuth

ChatGPT, Claude, and Claude Code discover Clerk at https://mcp.browsebridge.com/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp. The authorization server is https://clerk.browsebridge.com. Scopes are openid, profile, and email.

Claude custom connector: paste the MCP URL only. Callback is https://claude.ai/api/mcp/auth_callback.
Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http browsebridge https://mcp.browsebridge.com/mcp then /mcp. Loopback may use any port.
ChatGPT developer mode: add the MCP URL and confirm tools, including get_profile.
MCP Inspector: connect to the URL and complete the OAuth sign-in, including a token refresh.

Connected apps are listed at Settings → Connected apps. Disconnect rejects tokens issued before that moment. Remove the connector in the AI app so it drops the refresh token. Browse Bridge does not store that refresh token, so Clerk cannot be asked to revoke it from here.

API key

Create a key on Connections. The secret starts with bbk_ and is shown once. In Cursor, set the MCP URL and send Authorization: Bearer bbk_…. Keys are checked in Convex and are never sent to Clerk.
